Rental Policies for The Cottage Collection Tybee Island

• Check out: 10 a.m.

Age, Parties and Occupancy

• You must be 25 years (or older) to reserve a vacation rental with The Cottage Collection Tybee Island LLC

• “Friend” Getaways are welcome. All guests staying at home must be 25 years of age. Valid ID’s may be requested at check-in to confirm renters’ ages.

• The Cottage Collection Tybee Island LLC does not permit parties or events on the properties (graduation- or prom-related, birthday parties, wedding receptions, etc.) or rent to individuals whose intention is to allow people on the property in excess of the occupancy limits of the property for any reason. Occupancy limits must not be exceeded for any reason. VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION FROM THE PROPERTY WITH NO REFUND OF ANY KIND.

Parking

We have free parking available at the home. Guests are not allowed to exceed the number of vehicles designated for their vacation rental. This is strictly enforced by the city of Tybee Island. Guests are responsible for any parking fines or expenses incurred during the stay. 

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted on the premises of any of our rental properties. If there is evidence that smoking has occurred inside or outside the property you will be charged an additional $500 cleaning fee. 

Maintenance

We are ready to assist with maintenance issues. We do ask that all non-critical issues be reported during operating office hours. While we cannot guarantee the operation of all appliances, our staff makes every effort to keep the equipment and appliances in good working order through preventative maintenance and inspections. It is expected that major systems in and around the premises including, but not limited to, air conditioning, washer, dryer, refrigerator, swimming pool, etc., as well as utility services, could potentially break or be disrupted from time to time. An after business hours emergency will only include issues with the air conditioning, heat or issues that could be harmful to our guests. Issues related to TV and Internet are NOT considered a valid after hours "emergency" at the beach! Agents, authorized employees or repairmen may enter the premises during business hours for purposes connected with repair, care or maintenance of the property. We will do our best to have any malfunction repaired quickly; however, NO DISCOUNTS OR REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR EQUIPMENT OR APPLIANCE FAILURE.

Housekeeping

Your home will be equipped with bed linens, bath and kitchen towels and kitchen amenities. Our housekeepers will clean the home starting at 10 a.m. on the day of your check out. Additional cleaning services during your rental period may be arranged at an additional charge. At the end of your stay, we ask that you take out all garbage, place all dishes, utensils in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher before departing. Please do not move or rearrange the furniture during your stay. This is our home and we ask that all guests treat it as if it were their own. 

Pest Control

Since our homes are located in a humid, sub-tropical climate there is always the possibility of a guest encountering various pests and critters indigenous to our location and/or potentially present in any lodging establishment, including, but not limited to birds, snakes, palmetto bugs, bed bugs, ants, bees, spiders, cockroaches, mosquitoes, sand gnats, no-see-ums and so forth. The Cottage Collection Tybee Island and/or Owners provide regular and precautionary pest and animal control treatment at all properties.  Although we clean, sanitize, and treat our homes regularly, no amount of prevention can 100% eliminate the possibility of an encounter. Guests agree to hold The Cottage Collection Tybee Island harmless for encountering any pests or critters outside or inside their rental home. The Cottage Collection Tybee Island will make every effort to address pest control concerns reported during the stay but is not responsible for refunds due to pests or in the event of untimely service by pest control companies.

Pets

Pets are not permitted. If you bring a pet, or a family member shows up with one, you will be charged a minimum $350 fine.

Travel Insurance

We highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance to cover your stay in case of a natural disaster or other major event and you need to cancel. Depending on the type of travel insurance you purchase, you are usually eligible to be reimbursed by the insurance company for the amount that we do not refund. Be sure to carefully read the insurance that you purchase so you know which cancellation reasons are covered and which ones are not. No refunds will be given due to power blackouts, water shortage, flooding, snow, construction at adjacent properties, or mandatory evacuations of the area by county officials due to tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, or other potentially dangerous situations arising from acts of God or nature. 

Lost and Found Items

Guest is responsible for all shipping and administrative costs for any Lost and Found items that The Cottage Collection Tybee Island LLC is requested to return to Guest. Items found and not claimed within 30 days will be disposed of at the discretion of The Cottage Collection Tybee Island LLC.
